The Cosmos⁴ isn't just a bubble machine with fog — it's a three-effect system that gives you independent control over each output. You can run any effect individually or combine them for layered, multi-texture visual environments:

• Bubbles Only — Four nozzles produce thousands of bubbles per minute. Classic bubble output for parties, kids' events, photo ops, and lighthearted moments.
• Fog Only — Dense fog/smoke output fills the room with atmosphere. Enhances lighting, lasers, beams, and creates that low-visibility haze that makes a venue feel electric.
• Fog-Filled Bubbles — The signature effect. The machine traps dense fog inside each bubble, creating translucent orbs that drift through the air filled with swirling smoke. When they pop — on contact with a hand, a shoulder, the floor — they release a small burst of fog that curls and dissipates. It's a visual effect that stops people in their tracks. Under the RGBW LEDs, fog-filled bubbles glow with color as they float, creating a surreal, otherworldly atmosphere.

Why Four Heads?

The Cosmos⁴ is the expanded version of the Cosmos² (2-head model). Four nozzles means double the bubble output, wider spread, and denser coverage — the effect field extends across stages, dance floors, and large venues rather than concentrating in one area. If you need to fill a room, the Cosmos⁴ is the machine to do it.

48 RGBW LEDs

48 × 3W RGBW 4-in-1 LED beads are built into the machine, illuminating the fog and bubbles as they leave each nozzle. Red, green, blue, and white channels mix to produce virtually any color — washing the bubbles and fog with color that makes the effect dramatically more visible, especially in low-light or dark environments. The LEDs turn ordinary fog and bubbles into a lit, color-saturated visual experience.

Effect 1: Bubbles

Four nozzles produce thousands of bubbles per minute — a dense, continuous stream that fills large areas quickly. The bubbles are lightweight and float naturally through the air, drifting with room airflow and settling slowly. Under the RGBW LEDs, each bubble catches and reflects color as it moves, creating a constantly shifting field of colored light. Bubble output is adjustable — run all four nozzles for maximum density or control output via DMX for more subtle effects.

Effect 2: Fog / Smoke

The Cosmos⁴ produces dense fog output independent of the bubble system. This is a standard heated fog effect — thick, white smoke that fills the venue and creates atmosphere for lighting, lasers, and visual depth. The fog is illuminated by the onboard RGBW LEDs as it exits the machine, giving it color from the source. Use fog alone when you need atmosphere without bubbles, or combine it with bubble output for layered multi-effect environments.

Effect 3: Fog-Filled Bubbles (The Signature Effect)

This is what sets the Cosmos⁴ apart. When fog and bubble output run simultaneously, the machine traps dense fog inside each bubble. The result is translucent, smoke-filled orbs that float through the air — glowing with RGBW color, drifting slowly, and releasing a visible puff of fog when they burst. The visual is unlike standard bubbles or standard fog — it's a hybrid effect that combines the floating motion of bubbles with the atmospheric density of fog. Fog-filled bubbles are the crowd-stopping, camera-ready effect that makes the Cosmos⁴ a centerpiece machine for high-impact events.

When the fog-filled bubbles pop — on contact with skin, clothing, surfaces, or simply from natural drift — the trapped fog escapes and curls downward, wrapping around whatever it touches before dissipating. At ground level, popped fog-filled bubbles create a low-lying fog layer that builds over time, adding a secondary atmospheric effect beneath the floating bubble field above.

RGBW LED System

48 × 3W RGBW 4-in-1 LEDs are integrated into the machine and illuminate all output — bubbles, fog, and fog-filled bubbles — as it exits the nozzles. Full RGBW color mixing gives you red, green, blue, white, and any blended color. In DMX mode, LED color is independently controllable and can be programmed into color chases, static washes, or synchronized with music and lighting cues. The LEDs are the difference between "bubbles and fog" and "glowing, color-saturated, room-filling visual effects."

Coverage

The four-nozzle design covers approximately 4,300–5,400 sq ft (400–500 m²). The nozzles are spread across the machine body to project bubbles and fog in a wide pattern rather than a single concentrated stream. For maximum coverage, position the machine center-stage or center-venue. For directional coverage, angle the machine toward your target area.

Tank Layout

The Cosmos⁴ uses six separate 2.3-liter tanks — four for bubble fluid and two for fog fluid. Each tank has a visible fluid window with scale markings so you can monitor levels at a glance without opening the tanks. Each tank has a lid to prevent contamination, and the internal tubing is designed so that unused fluid flows back into the tanks when the machine stops — keeping the lines clean and preventing waste.

Setup

1. Remove the Cosmos⁴ from the flight case and place on a stable, level surface. Position the machine facing your target coverage area.
2. Fill the tanks: Pour bubble fluid into the 4 bubble tanks and fog fluid into the 2 fog tanks. Do not mix fluid types. Fill to the marked levels — do not overfill.
3. Connect power (110V) and turn on the machine.
4. Allow the fog heater to warm up — the machine has an indicator light that turns green when the heater is ready (typically a few minutes).
5. Select your control mode (LCD panel, wireless remote, or DMX512) and trigger your desired effect.

Control Modes

• LCD Panel (on-board): Built-in display for local control. Select effect mode (bubbles, fog, fog-filled bubbles), adjust output, and configure LED colors directly at the machine.
• Wireless Remote: Trigger effects from a distance. Ideal for DJs, ceremony operators, and situations where you need to fire effects on cue from across the venue.
• DMX512 (8 channels): Full show integration. Program effect cues, LED colors, and output levels into your lighting/effects console. Synchronize fog-filled bubble bursts with lighting changes, music drops, and other production elements. Standard 3-pin or 5-pin DMX connection.

Fluid Guidelines

• Use bubble fluid in the 4 bubble tanks and fog fluid in the 2 fog tanks. These are different fluids — do not interchange them.
• Do not use snow fluid, haze fluid, water, soap, or any other liquid not specifically formulated for bubble or fog machines.
• We recommend SurgeFX BubbleFX™ Bubble Solution and SurgeFX Nebula™ Fog Fluid.
• Monitor tank levels via the visible fluid windows during operation. Refill as needed.

Maintenance

• After each use, wipe down the exterior and clean any fluid residue from the nozzles and machine body.
• The internal tubing is self-draining — when the machine stops, unused fluid flows back into the tanks automatically.
• If storing for extended periods, drain all tanks and run the machine briefly to clear the fluid lines.
• Keep tank lids closed when not in use to prevent contamination.
• Store in the flight case in a dry environment.

Does it need two different fluids?
Yes. The Cosmos⁴ uses bubble fluid (4 tanks) and fog fluid (2 tanks) — two separate fluids that should not be mixed or interchanged. Both are sold separately.

How do I know when the tanks are running low?
Each of the six tanks has a visible fluid window with scale markings on the outside of the machine. You can check levels at a glance without opening anything.

Does it have DMX?
Yes. 8-channel DMX512 with independent control over fog output, bubble output, and RGBW LED colors. Also controllable via wireless remote and on-board LCD panel.

How long does the fog heater take to warm up?
Typically a few minutes. The machine has an indicator light that turns green when the heater is ready and fog output is available.

Is the bubble residue messy?
Bubbles and fog-filled bubbles will leave some moisture on surfaces, especially with heavy or prolonged use. Fog-filled bubbles release a small amount of fog fluid when they pop. For indoor events on finished floors, plan for light cleanup. The residue is water-based and wipes up easily, but can make floors slippery — consider this for events with dancing or foot traffic.

Can I use this outdoors?
Yes, but wind will significantly affect bubble drift and fog density. Outdoor use works best in calm conditions or sheltered areas. The machine itself is not waterproof — do not leave it exposed to rain.

Does it come with a flight case?
Yes. The Cosmos⁴ ships in a protective flight case for transport and storage.
