Three Effects. One Machine.
The Cosmos² isn't just a bubble machine with fog — it's a three-effect system that gives you independent control over each output. Run any effect individually or combine them for layered, multi-texture visual environments:
-
Bubbles Only — Two nozzles produce a continuous stream of bubbles. Classic bubble output for parties, photo ops, ceremonies, and lighthearted moments.
-
Fog Only — Dense fog/smoke output fills the room with atmosphere. Enhances lighting rigs, lasers, beams, and creates that immersive haze that transforms a venue.
-
Fog-Filled Bubbles — The signature effect. The machine traps dense fog inside each bubble, creating translucent orbs that drift through the air filled with swirling smoke. When they pop — on contact with a hand, a shoulder, the floor — they release a small burst of fog that curls and dissipates. Under the RGBW LEDs, fog-filled bubbles glow with color as they float, creating a surreal, dreamlike atmosphere that photographs and videos beautifully.
Compact Power
At 900W and ~31 lbs, the Cosmos² packs serious multi-effect capability into a package that's portable enough for mobile DJs and event planners to load in and out without a crew. Two nozzles cover approximately 4,300 sq ft (400 m²) — enough to fill a ballroom, dance floor, or mid-size venue with fog-filled bubbles. Three fluid tanks (2 bubble + 1 fog) keep the machine running, with visible fluid windows so you can monitor levels at a glance.
24 RGBW LEDs
24 × 3W RGBW 4-in-1 LED beads are built into the machine, illuminating the fog and bubbles as they leave each nozzle. Red, green, blue, and white channels mix to produce virtually any color — washing the bubbles and fog with color that makes the effect dramatically more visible, especially in low-light or dark environments.
Cosmos² vs. Cosmos⁴
The Cosmos² is the more portable, budget-friendly option in the Cosmos lineup. If you need wider coverage, denser output, and maximum visual density for large-scale production, the Cosmos⁴ has 4 nozzles, 48 LEDs, 1400W, and 6 tanks. Choose the Cosmos² when portability, value, and mid-size venue coverage are the priority.
Who It's For
Mobile DJs, wedding planners (grand entrances, first dances, send-offs), event producers, school dances, clubs, bars, live music venues, churches, photographers, videographers, and anyone who needs fog, bubbles, and lighting in a single portable machine.
At a Glance: 900W · 2 bubble nozzles · 3 effects (bubbles / fog / fog-filled bubbles) · 24 × 3W RGBW 4-in-1 LEDs · ~4,300 sq ft coverage · 3 tanks (2 bubble + 1 fog) · DMX512 (8CH) / remote / LCD · ~31 lbs · flight case included
Effect 1: Bubbles
Two nozzles produce a continuous, dense stream of bubbles. The internal mechanism uses bubble rods and dual silent-speed fans to break the bubble solution into many small, lightweight bubbles that float naturally through the air. Under the RGBW LEDs, each bubble catches and reflects color as it moves. Bubble output is adjustable — control volume via the LCD panel, remote, or DMX.
Effect 2: Fog / Smoke
The Cosmos² produces dense fog output independent of the bubble system, using a dedicated fog tank and heating element. This is standard heated fog — thick, white smoke that fills the venue and creates atmosphere for lighting, lasers, and visual depth. The fog is illuminated by the onboard RGBW LEDs as it exits the machine. Use fog alone when you need atmosphere without bubbles, or combine it with bubble output for the signature fog-filled bubble effect.
Effect 3: Fog-Filled Bubbles (The Signature Effect)
When fog and bubble output run simultaneously, the machine traps dense fog inside each bubble. The result is translucent, smoke-filled orbs that float through the air — glowing with RGBW color, drifting slowly, and releasing a visible puff of fog when they burst. The visual is unlike standard bubbles or standard fog — it's a hybrid effect that combines the floating motion of bubbles with the atmospheric density of fog.
When the fog-filled bubbles pop — on contact with skin, clothing, surfaces, or from natural drift — the trapped fog escapes and curls downward, wrapping around whatever it touches before dissipating. At ground level, popped fog-filled bubbles create a low-lying fog layer that builds over time, adding a secondary atmospheric effect beneath the floating bubble field above. This is the camera-ready, crowd-stopping effect that makes the Cosmos² a centerpiece machine.
RGBW LED System
24 × 3W RGBW 4-in-1 LEDs are integrated into the machine and illuminate all output — bubbles, fog, and fog-filled bubbles — as it exits the nozzles. Full RGBW color mixing gives you red, green, blue, white, and any blended color. In DMX mode, LED color is independently controllable and can be programmed into color chases, static washes, strobes, or synchronized with music and lighting cues.
Coverage
The two-nozzle design covers approximately 4,300 sq ft (400 m²). For maximum coverage, position the machine center-stage or center-venue. For directional coverage, angle the machine toward your target area. Need more coverage? The Cosmos⁴ doubles the nozzle count for wider spread and denser output across 4,300–5,400 sq ft.

Tank Layout
The Cosmos² uses three separate 2.3-liter tanks — two for bubble fluid and one for fog fluid. Each tank has a visible fluid window with scale markings so you can monitor levels at a glance without opening the tanks. Each tank includes a lid to prevent contamination, and the internal tubing is designed so that unused fluid flows back into the tanks when the machine stops — keeping the lines clean and preventing waste.

Setup
-
Place the Cosmos² on a stable, level surface facing your target coverage area. The machine can also be hung/mounted overhead — if hanging, ensure secure rigging and that no one is directly below during installation.
-
Fill the tanks: Pour bubble fluid into the 2 bubble tanks and fog fluid into the 1 fog tank. Do not mix fluid types. Fill to the marked levels — do not overfill.
-
Connect power (110V) and turn on the machine.
-
Allow the fog heater to warm up — the machine has an indicator light that turns green when the heater is ready (typically a few minutes).
-
Select your control mode (LCD panel, wireless remote, or DMX512) and trigger your desired effect.
Control Modes
-
LCD Panel (on-board): Built-in display for local control. Select effect mode, adjust output, and configure LED colors directly at the machine.

Mounting Options
The Cosmos² can be used on the ground or mounted overhead. Ground placement is the simplest setup — point toward your coverage area and go. Overhead mounting directs bubbles and fog downward for a dramatic "falling from above" effect. If mounting overhead, ensure the rigging is secure, rated for the machine's weight (~31 lbs), and that no one is directly below during installation. The machine has heat vents on the case — ensure adequate airflow in any mounting position.
Fluid Guidelines
- Use bubble fluid in the 2 bubble tanks and fog fluid in the 1 fog tank. These are different fluids — do not interchange them.
- Do not use snow fluid, haze fluid, water, soap, or any other liquid not specifically formulated for bubble or fog machines.
- We recommend SurgeFX BubbleFX™ Bubble Solution and SurgeFX Nebula™ Fog Fluid.
- Monitor tank levels via the visible fluid windows during operation. Refill as needed.
Maintenance
- After each use, wipe down the exterior and clean any fluid residue from the nozzles and machine body.
- The internal tubing is self-draining — when the machine stops, unused fluid flows back into the tanks automatically.
- If storing for extended periods, drain all tanks and run the machine briefly to clear the fluid lines.
- Keep tank lids closed when not in use to prevent contamination.
- Store in the flight case in a dry environment.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are "fog-filled bubbles"?
The Cosmos²'s signature effect. The machine traps dense fog inside each bubble, creating translucent, smoke-filled orbs that float through the air. When they pop — on contact with skin, clothing, or surfaces — they release a visible puff of fog that curls and dissipates. Under the RGBW LEDs, fog-filled bubbles glow with color as they drift. It's a hybrid effect you can't get from a standard bubble machine or a standard fog machine alone.
Can I run bubbles, fog, and fog-filled bubbles separately?
Yes. The Cosmos² gives you independent control over each effect. Run plain bubbles only, fog only, or combine both for fog-filled bubbles. In DMX mode, fog and bubble output are on separate channels so you can blend and transition between effects during a show.
How big of a space can it cover?
Approximately 4,300 sq ft (400 m²) from two nozzles. That's a large ballroom, dance floor, or mid-size venue.
What's the difference between Cosmos² and Cosmos⁴?
Scale. The Cosmos² has 2 nozzles, 24 LEDs, 900W, and 3 tanks — ideal for mobile DJs, weddings, and mid-size events. The Cosmos⁴ has 4 nozzles, 48 LEDs, 1400W, and 6 tanks — built for large venues, stages, and festival production. Both ship with flight cases.
Does it need two different fluids?
Yes. The Cosmos² uses bubble fluid (2 tanks) and fog fluid (1 tank) — two separate fluids that should not be mixed or interchanged. Both are sold separately.
How do I know when the tanks are running low?
Each of the three tanks has a visible fluid window with scale markings on the outside of the machine. Check levels at a glance without opening anything.
Does it have DMX?
Yes. 8-channel DMX512 with independent control over fog output, bubble output, and RGBW LED colors. Also controllable via wireless remote and on-board LCD panel.
Can I mount it overhead?
Yes. The Cosmos² can be used on the ground or mounted overhead for a top-down bubble/fog effect. Ensure secure rigging rated for the weight (~31 lbs) and adequate airflow around the heat vents.
How long does the fog heater take to warm up?
Typically a few minutes. The machine has an indicator light that turns green when the heater is ready.
Is the bubble residue messy?
Bubbles and fog-filled bubbles will leave some moisture on surfaces, especially with heavy or prolonged use. The residue is water-based and wipes up easily, but can make floors slippery — plan for light cleanup at indoor events with foot traffic.
Can I use this outdoors?
Yes, but wind will significantly affect bubble drift and fog density. Outdoor use works best in calm conditions or sheltered areas. The machine is not waterproof — do not expose to rain.
How heavy is it?
~31 lbs (14 kg) net weight. Light enough for one person to carry and set up.
Does it come with a flight case?
Yes. The Cosmos² ships in a protective flight case for transport and storage.
