Setup Orientation

The Whiteout operates in a vertical standing position. Place the machine on a stable, level surface. The machine can be positioned at ground/stage level and used with the included air duct to route snow output to overhead positions — or positioned on elevated platforms, risers, or scaffolding for direct overhead output without the duct.

Using the Air Duct

The included 10-meter (33 ft) flexible air duct is the Whiteout's standout feature for creating realistic top-down snowfall. Connect the duct to the machine's output, then route it vertically — up a truss leg, along a ceiling beam, through a fly system, or along any overhead path. Snow exits the end of the duct at height and drifts downward naturally, producing the most convincing snowfall effect. This eliminates the need to rig a heavy machine overhead — the Whiteout stays at ground level where it's easy to access, refill, and control, while the lightweight duct delivers snow from above.

Control Modes

Filling the Tank
