LED-Lit Fog Columns

How It Works

The Aurora Jet heats fog fluid through a 1500W heating element with a dual temperature control system (electronic + mechanical) that maintains precise, consistent heat. When triggered, a 48W full-copper oil pump pushes fluid through the superheated chamber, instantly vaporizing it into a high-velocity vertical fog column. The fog exits through a directional nozzle and shoots 26–33 feet (8–10 m) straight up — a tight, dramatic column, not a slow-spreading cloud.

RGB LED System

27 × 3W RGB 3-in-1 LEDs illuminate the fog column from the base of the nozzle. The LEDs light up the fog as it exits — coloring the entire column from bottom to top. Fog Fluid

The Aurora Jet uses fast-dissipating vertical fog fluid (also called "quick smoke" or "quick dissipating" fluid). This type of fluid produces fog with better light transmission — brighter, more visible columns — and dissipates within seconds, which is what enables the instant-stop effect. Standard fog fluid will work but may produce slower-dissipating fog that lingers after the burst. For best results with the instant-stop effect, use fast-dissipating fluid. SurgeFX Nebula™ fog fluids are recommended.

Aurora Jet vs. CO2 Jets

Setup

1. Choose your mounting orientation. The Aurora Jet can sit on a flat surface (fog shoots up), hang inverted from truss (fog shoots down), or mount on a wall (fog shoots horizontally). The reversible fluid tank prevents leaking in any position.
2. Install the fluid tank. Mount the 2.5L tank at the appropriate end of the machine for your orientation. Fill with fast-dissipating vertical fog fluid.
3. Plug into a 110V outlet.
4. Wait 4 minutes for initial warm-up. The indicator will show when the heater is ready.
5. Connect DMX (optional) — 3-pin connector, 8 channels.
6. Fire on cue via DMX, wireless remote, or onboard panel.

Fluid & Maintenance
